I believe Celebrini would have likely gone 4th behind them if he were in last years class (even with this year being scouted). This doesn't mean he isn't a worthy top selection, it just means those 3 are exceptional".

I would say that Celebrini should be ranked a bit higher based on his age. He is 17 as a freshman. So a full year younger than Fantilli and producing at an outstanding but not equal rate in college.

He also set a bunch of scoring records in the USHL and theres a lot of comparisons to a Toews type player rather than just a dominant scorer which would be ideal.

Should be a really really really good player.

I doubt they are giving up on Zegras yet.

I know they have a nice young forward group that they do not have to leverage just yet. With LW Zegras signed at $5.75 until 2026, and RW Troy Terry at 7. million until 2029.
With C-LW Mason McTavish, C Leo Carlsson, C-LW Cutter Gauthier in rookie deals, they look like one RW from a complete top six to develop.

I think you ride them for awhile.

This whole season is a write off even when it was healthy. I wouldn’t read much into it. I think Richardson will get fairly evaluated when he has a team with some NHL caliber players.

Which other stellar pair should be out there? They’re all struggling (not to mention McDavid embarrasses even the best defensemen in the league). The fact they are within a goal of one of the highest scoring teams in the league is a the win tonight
