Congratulations to Mrazek for being able to pull the flaps on a downward career trajectory tory.

That doesn't mean the management should quit scouting and drafting goaltenders.

SOME stability in the Bedard rebuild was necessary, sine little has come from forward group yet.

I guess Dillion Dube's leave of absence & Carter Hart's leave of absence and New Jersey Devils forward Michael McLeod and defenceman Cal Foote have both been granted indefinite leave of absences, may be related to teenage sexual harassment/ assault...one to go.
A fifth man, Alex Formenton, playing professionally in Switzerland also has gone on leave...

That didn't take me very long.

Briere's press conference implying "we know nothing." is as firm as "Cutter Gauthier wouldn't talk to us."

Mrázek has had a decent enough career and some unfortunate injury struggles.

Good for him getting 8.5 millions which could have been significantly less and thats one less thing to hopefully worry about the next 2 years while the other guys can pay their dues or whatever.

What i like about all 3 of these signings is they all happened before the trade deadline. Some stability. Don't get me wrong I'd of been okay with them being traded but the 2 year deals are very nice and something KD can revisit in the 2006 season.

Meant the 2026 season

I'm anything Hawks will be a third team in a trade at the TDL. Or maybe Davidson explores trying to get a young ready to go prospect that is block by the big club.

That’s what I’m thinking, eat some salary for a 4th or 5th round pick.

I could see the club dealing T Johnson, but thats about it.

I'm sure KD had a pretty good idea what he would get for any of those three players at the deadline, if he wanted to go that route. Best to know that before signing them to extensions. Just looking at a lot of likely sellers, many have better fits for the deadline game than the Hawks. A lot of contenders have tight budgets, so moving a Foligno or a D*ckinson would be tougher that it might otherwise be, let alone moving TJ or Beauvillier. In other words, too little money chasing too big a supply of available players.

Against that backdrop, extending those three makes even more sense. They are happy to be here and to get paid to be here.

They have quite a few more forwards than they have room for when all are healthy, and a bunch of them are free agent (RFA or UFA). Could see them listening on T. Johnson, Blackwell, Beauvillier, Raddysh, Katchouk, and Entwistle. Not sure enough would come back to be worth making the trade.

Charlie Elick is looking decent in the prospects game (except for flopping on his wallet during a shoot-in). Wouldn't mind getting him if he fell through to #34. Saw him live earlier this year and he played well.

Was not aware of goal scorer Ben Danford (RD, Oshawa). Smaller guy, maybe doesn't fit the profile Blackhawks are looking for at D.

Hawks catch a break. Beniers and Gourde are out. Looks like Daccord gets the nod.

Doesn’t seem to be an issue for Seattle.

Now if Joey Daccord broke his leg, then we would have a break...

Makes sense you tuned into that CHL Prospect game, totem. I caught 30:00 of the game. The kid who tied it at 1 was a big kid, good shot and seemed balanced on the play....... Catton looked small. .. Real shame Lindstrom is injured and couldn't play.

Anything else catch your eye?

Bad read or reactions at least twice including goal Tanev scored

On another note, Vlasic so impressive making plays with his long reach (and hustle preceeding the one check). Waiting to see Crevier do the same - he has done so upon occasion this season.

Did you catch who was partner with Vlasic on PK in period two. Crevier Two tall towers.

Mr Richochet,

What is your take on the projection of our prospect Hayes to NHL. He has been given an extra look in training camp and may be the best goal scorer in the farm system. Looking at what he needs to improve upon, could he be a fast track? I am thinking starts next season at Rockford but if SOmEoNe shows they can score even in a brief call up, maybe he learns and grows/matures his while game for a longer NHl look. Is this realistic?

What kind of shot does he have - good? Good all around offensive skill set? Skating. I can go back and look at scouting report but I like to hear your eye test observation. I know you don’t see him as much now that he moved from USHL to major Junior

A player who might be had if KD was willing to surrender one of his collection of 2nd round picks or a non top prospect

IF KD decides to give the team a descent scorer on the.cheap

I know KD not prone to do

But if he choose

P Suter, the ex Blackhawk, last tally for the hat trick allowed Vancouver to even the affair with St Louis tonight. Home town St Louis folks would not leave singing the blues, though, as they beat the Canucks in OT
