Quite honestly, with the way NHLers move the puck these days, I would rather a player who breaks his stick just go get another rather than trying to play positional hockey without one.

I’m not for that in the second period. But thats just me. 1st and 3rd it’s an interesting thought. We were taught to never do that back in the day.

Definitely were taught to NOT do it. But the way those guys expose a stickless player, I'd just rather let him take the 8-10 seconds to get the stick.

It’s a fresh thought for sure. I just don’t think you’ll see it in a second period with the long change. I have seen guys do it in the 1st and 3rd. But that’s not common.
