That last shift from Barzy was superstar quality. From the scrum in the corner where he took the puck away to the set up for Bo, just a magnificent shift

The 4th line gets 8 minutes a night under Roy hardly playing in the 3rd of close games. I crack up thinking Lambert had them out at the end of games 🤣🤣

I love that Roy has no idea how to pronounce Cizikas’ name.

Barzal got that point for them.

Have to say, I thought this was beyond accurate regarding the Islanders. It starts at the beginning of the relevant portion and ends around 9:30 mark

It is very accurate. They did bring back the same team. You just cannot do this when your team is not good enough. Those ECF may have been 10 years ago. Many fans have been saying the same things and more and more hockey people are saying it.

But they also said the Islanders need scoring. So their suggestion was trading the top goal scorer.?? So what team would trade for Nelson and give the Islanders back more scoring? They need more of a rebuild than a retool if that's the thinking. What they need to do first is stop giving out 7 year contracts to non stars. Or trade those players if at all possible.

If you are not going to make the playoffs. Which can pretty much all agree on here. Trade Nelson for a high-level left-wing prospect and draft. It does a few things for a re-tool. It gets you something for a player you may lose next year because you will not be able to afford. It also gives you space to potentially sign someone that can perform like nelson a lil cheaper or fill another hole.

Agre on the 7-year contracts. That should go to generational talent only. And trade the bad ones you have.

Barzal can consistently be an impact player like he was last night. I will be the first one to admit I made a mistake saying that he should be traded as he cannot carry a team. But, you also need to admit that what he is being paid he should be doing this on a consistent basis every night or he is another overpaid good player.

They said they can't score, not they need to go find scoring. No playoff team is trading a talented forward for Brock Nelson, it's a lateral move for both teams.

Why not an NHL ready prospect that will not see the necessary minutes. I would take that and a 1st.

I mean likely Nelson would get a package similar to that. But no guarantee that the prospect is ready to step right into the NHL immediately.

Vasilesky goes complete dogpoop tonight. I hate Tampa. Seems like anytime we need them to win, they play like poop

Islanders have made you score board watch once again. I won’t do it. They make it in it’s fine by me but I don’t expect it.
