I think he meant Mayfield but it's irrelevant. A GM buying out a guy he just signed for 7 years and having to pay over 12 years would be unprecedented, as much as most Isles fans would likely want to see it.

I agree. I'd rather sign a UFA for a year or use a Bridge player instead of giving bad contracts to players like Mayfield or Pierre.

Hey I’m all for them making the playoffs but realistically it’s a long shot. Love to see them play the rags in the first round. I don’t think they are as good as their record. See them as a possible first round loser.

Isles dominated the outdoor game until the penalties did them in. Might be a great match up just cause it will bring out their best

They always seem to get up for big games. Yes, the blew the Rangers one but they played really well. They beat the Leafs three times this season. They can elevate when necessary but seem unwilling/unable to do that otherwise

The most important thing is that they finally got an empty-net goal. Pierre ENGvall

Saw on twitter last night: you can’t spell Engvall without the ENG.

Boston looks BAD. This may have been the most scoring chances we've had in a period all year.... Score could have been 6-0

Yes, but give the Isles some credit.

There is still a lot of game left. I expect a different Bruins team the rest of the way.

Hasn't happened so far. The Isles are consistently getting behind their defense and gathering rebound attempts, something we haven't done all season

Or maybe not. I can't remember the last time I've seen Boston like this.
