I agree! We should trade away all our 2nd round picks. They have really amounted to anything. Chevelallseasonoff decided to get a days worth of work in. |

Love it. Solid underlying numbers. Signed for another year. They still have plenty of assets to add another player or two |

Not a home run,but a good move none the less. Size with a scoring touch, some grit and a year's term. Nice pick up.
We are a better team now than we were before the deal.
Do we have the home run, or extra base hit coming? |

Nice pick up for you guys. |

Chevy clearly had to get at least something done ahead of some really important games coming up in the next 10 days. The loss of Perfetti (likely a broken rib) accelerated this need . Hopefully boots Appleton off the top six
Position filled. Now up front, we still need an improvement on Wheeler so he can drop to the third line. On D a replacement for Pionk....and were set. |

I’d really like Jensen off WSH is the Caps are selling,
We need to trade Pionk first though!! Ottawa seems very interested in a RSD with term, get a prospect and pick for him, but clear the space.
Then look to add Schmaltz from Zona and one more winger |

I was thinking Shattenkirk from Anaheim, Montour or Forsling from Fla , or Gavrikov from Columbus.....to hopefully REPLACE Pionk. |

Positive move, good shot in the arm for the team. Now go get Meier so they can both speak Swiss / German. |

Sorry I disagree with you on this one;
I dont like Shattenkirk, don’t think he’s an improvement over Pionk.
We already have a Montour in Heinola for free
Forsling I actually haven’t seen much of this year so not sure about him? and I think the Blue Jackets are asking for far too much for Gavrikov |

And yea, this was a great trade. I can also envision being able to trade Nino at next years deadline for a 2nd rounder, so it’s like we would have given up nothing . |

Jacob Billington: Jets Acquire Nino Neiderreiter for 2024 Second Round Pick - Jacob Billington
I have a source close with the Jets saying that the Jets are showing interest in adding Ivan Barbashev.
Would be the perfect addition. This team doesn't need a Meier-level addition, but adding a very solid middle-six winger like Barbashev would be a great move.
Andy Strickland said there is one team willing to pay a first-round pick for Barbashev, but St. Louis is waiting to see if any bigger offers come into play. Will do a bigger piece just looking at Barbashev soon, and give an update. But to me, it sounds like the Jets are quite interested

So are you seriously saying you would give up a 1st for Barbashev? |

Didn't say that at all. Strick said a team is willing to pay it, no idea if it is the Jets or not. Lots of teams are interested. Regardless of whether it is for a 1st or a 7th, he will be a great addition regardless of the price.

No way I would give a first for Barbashev. I hope this deal doesn't happen. We can do a better move than Ivan Barbashev.

Jacob, this site was built upon rumours and I am very happy you have shared this tid bit with the posters on this board.
Whether it happens or not, good or not good, I want to hear the rumours of which there are never enough of, particularly when it involves the Jets. Good Job! |

Jets are interested. 1st involved says "Strick". H--m-m-m?
Big difference between 1st and 7th!
Barbashev is 3rd line material. |

Well said, and very true. We may not like the rumour but we enjoy hearing each and every one. Keep em coming !

Barbashev would be a good pickup for the Jets but he's absolutely not worth trading a 1st for. |

Would like to see the jets grab some grit for the playoffs.
Wanted Hathaway but Boston nabbed him.
Ritchie, Watson or Jeannot would be good fits
Just don’t trade a 1st for a rental PLEASE !
