I'm surprised as well that the Sharks couldn't at least get a prospect like Holtz from the Devils.

Overall, the deal seems more complicated then it needs to be.

I'm curious what the odds line is on the Devils making the Eastern Conference Finals this season.

They've got a very strong team.

If their goaltending holds up, they have a great chance.

Thanks for reading - No doubt they're a threat, they just may have a difficult path to get to ECF. Taking top spot in the Metro would be a big help (Devils/Rangers first round matchup is a toss-up, in my opinion)

I wouldn't hate on this trade so much if that 2nd pick was a plain old 2024 1st round pick. All the conditions to it really just make me feel like grier is out of his league.
