Probably see a Talbot, Raanta, or Anderson signing. UPL is only 22. - Buff36
Varlamov? Trade for Demko? |
|
|
|
the other two gone? - TheSabresTaco
Comrie to roch because no one would claim him? I canβt imagine his value is that high
UPL probly stays here ? Next year. He sent to through waivers |

Varlamov would be a nice addition, guess Demko depending the price. |

I would bet money that Dahlin is the next captain.
Tuch is the cheerleader of the team, but Dahlin is the one challenging the players to be better during practices, workouts, etc.
Your projected lineup above is another near cap floor, struggle to make the playoffs roster.
They'll try for real when Tuch has 2 years left on his bargain deal?
The NHL doesn't award bonus points or extra wins for winning the cup with the cheapest roster. - kingcong39
Taking a look at the Montreal Canadians record, the NHL doesnβt award points for maxing out the salary cap and using $13M of LTIR either though.
Find the best 18 players and put them on the ice.
If they all happen to be underpaid or on ELCβs, even better |

There's a lot of UFA options. Who and how he moves guys out is just as a big of a question. Can he find value on the guys he needs to upgrade? He needs to be more active than he's ever been to have a good summer.

Very much agree, I have been saying for awhile that decisions will need to be made sooner than later. They have players growing quicker than they are Evaluating. Adams doesn't have the luxury of the 4yr Evaluating process anymore. Can't kick the can no more, a few trades have to happen. |

New Sabres this year.
Comrie
Levi
Power
Boosh
Clague
Stillman
Peterka
Quinn
Jost
Greenway
Probably missing a couple more...

Really bad timing to move VO and UPL, but you might have to do it anyways. Joker should have a market, but finding an upgrade is easier said than done.

50% of that are fillers and depth guys. His moves last summer were timid, to put it mild. |

Sure a few guys that have been here since the deadline, another for 2 games. Another that was in Rochester and was up because of injuries and the crap you had to waive. Comrie other than say his last 4 starts really been Non-existent and a couple we new would be here. Pretty Blah if you tell me. |

Peyton Krebs has more even strength p/60 than Alex Debrincant does this year.
Sometimes having a βflashyβ offseason doesnβt mean all that much.
Peterka and Quinn are ~67% of your 2nd line.
Power is already a solid top 4 d-man and was a #1 overall pick
Lybushkin (apart from the stretch right after coming back from the injury) and Jost have been very good if not solid depth adds.
Comrie was a flop, but Craig Anderson was very good until he ran out of gas in February/early March.
Itβs too early to judge Stillman and Greenway but they may ultimately prove to be good depth as well. |

But still, with the Islanders losing, don't the Sabres control their own destiny right now? |

First time breaker comes down to regulation wins, which favours the Isles.
The Sabres would have to finish with more points |
|
|
|
The Sabres are a regulation win on Tuesday in Florida and a Penguins regulation loss to the Devils away from technically controlling their fate |

I've liked Peterka's game the last 10 games more than I have in a while. Beginning of the season he looked good, had a time in the middle where he really struggled, and now he is flying out there and shooting. I want to say against Philly he had like 13 shot attempts. The chemistry with Quinn and Cozens also seems to be apparent, so I am fine with keeping them together as long as it works. I would also be fine seeing Mitts stay up higher in the lineup, I think Granato has really gotten through to him. - Zschalberg
I think peterka plays a little better D

Super timid KA trading away eichel, sam and risto the season before.
3 for 3 on those trades.....
Guy just hasn't made enough trades though.
None of these count, they aren't "hockey trades".
Eichel, risto and sam
For
Tuch, krebs, kulich, Rosen, oslund , levi and picks
KA just cant win πππ |

cornered/forced to make a trade is different than making a hockey trade
sabres did not have to trade mogilny, pierre, barasso, or housley
this summer will be the litmus test IMO |

Why bring this up? He had to sell off his best players. Not like he wanted to. Irrelevant to the type of moves he needs to make now.

Technically not correct. We have 37 wins and the Islanders have 39. BUT with 3 games on hand, we technically control our own destiny because if we win those 3 games, we have 40 wins thus hold the tiebreaker.
we control destiny over FLA because we play them next and are 4 points back with 2 in hand.
we don't control our own destiny vs PIT who are 5 up with 2 more games played |

I find all.the trades and shuffling of players relevant to the current general manager
Doesn't the constant negaitive drag get old?
You and thirtysixensons complain about trades that havent happened πππ
If he was gm we would have
Kuemper
Debricat
Chryrun
All huge loser moves. He's never gonna admit it .
Just a terrible thought process.
Ottawa is behind the rink guard gm BTW. |

First tie breaker is regulation wins.
Buffalo has 28, the Isles have 33. |
