Hopefully this gives them the push to bring in 2 or 3 key pieces this off season. Round out the roster. And one of those pieces should be a vet goalie, Andersen on an over priced 2 year contract.

I questioned your sanity until I noticed the spelling. Yeah, Freddie would be a terrific add. I think they're going to roll with Levi and Comrie next year though because Comrie is under contract.

The team (meaning the players) know Levi is the best organizational option and there's no way they can dog him next year. I'd look to move UPL at the draft.

Now, it is just one game…a very good one at that with some excellent saves in a very active 3rd period when the game was on the line…all very positive signs, what’s not to like!
Yet, it is just one game.

Thank god he played excellent so we don’t have to read 40 pages of how the Franchise is damned to eternal hell and everyone sucks.

It's early

A few tweaks to the Defense and continued growth in the System they played the first 2 periods and we got something here. IMO the officiating affected that game at the end of the 2nd and beginning of the 3rd. They let the Rangers take the Sabres speed and skating away with some holding and Interference and it seemed to help the Rangers get going in the 3rd. Buffalo pretty much dominated the first 35 minutes.

Now, signing Johnson is the next move to quell some of the nay saying….roll into the off-season on a relative high. Make 3 moves and boom, start to a very exciting decade of Sabres Hockey!

I have no problem trading a top forward prospect for a young RHD. We have a ton of forwards in the system and no RHD.

We’ll also prob draft a RHD in rd 2 this year - the best ones seem to be ranked where we’ll be picking

Watching his style of play is a real treat. Classic butterfly. Tracks the puck, agility through the roof. Never bobbled the puck once.

The only negative is a few rebounds but most of the time he swallowed up the puck.

Its gonna be a tough call next year if he plays in the AHL. He should but will he?

Multiple years before they actually did so, I predicted the Kings, Blues and Lightning would all win Cups. This team is starting to have the same feel - with a few more quality middle of the lineup pieces, this team can go places. Congrats, Sabres fans. After years of suffering you’ve finally got a fun team to watch!

The best part was when the Rangers lost.

The savior has risen? Personally, I'll wait for more than one game to get excited about him. This is the Sabres after all.

IF Levi is truly the real deal, the Sabres can go deep next year if they do at least two of the following three in the off-season:

Replace Mittelstadt with someone with similar offensive ability but much better defense.

Replace Olofsson with someone with similar offensive ability but much better defense.

Replace Bryson with someone with similar puck carrying ability but much better defense.
