Thought I saw something about the Sabres maybe finding a loophole because of those games he played for Dubuque in the USHL, and maybe they could send him to Rochester if need be.
The idea was that being loaned to the USHL might still count as a WHL season towards the 4 that would make him eligible for the AHL. Was just wishful thinking.

he's right. the 'loophole' was the loan to the ushl, but it did not count as an eligible year in the chl.

I am not hoping for a 5yr year plan, said they don't have that luxury anymore. Decisions will need to be made quicker. No more kicking the can
