Really good game last night, both goalie's were fabulous. Probably take some crap for this. But oh Well!!
Think Rousek should be playing over Okposo at this point. We could use his speed and his touch around the net right now. Okposo took a beating last night, Gudas was all over him, Okposo just can't skate anymore, atleast the same intensity shift after shift anymore.

Most of Toronto, Tampa, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, Sacramento, Turks, and Caicos and Zimbabwe are not going to win the Stanley Cup next year either. I’m not quite sure what the point is there?

The Sabres could potentially be great next year, or they could again miss the playoffs.

The future has been bright for 11+ years now forgive me for not being ra ra about the future

Yeah I mean in hindsight this team has never been in a better position to rise up. There's work to be done on the back end and Levi is half of that.

Okposo busted his ass last night, but the beating he took was difficult to watch.

There is work to be done at forward as well, especially if the goal is to be as good as they can be starting next season.

Doesn't it scare the hell out you that Girgs + Okposo were getting big shifts late, down a goal? Okposo played more even strength minutes than Cozens.

As long as they are here, Donnie is going to overplay them. Will he bang the table to keep them around?

Yes, that is scary.

I'm starting to think they're not going to bring Jost back.

Does Levi's play make it easier to play Johnson, Savoie, and Kulich next season and take it easy this summer? Odd situation with a team on the verge of the playoffs to have 4 advanced prospects poised to make the jump.

100%.

A good goalie can change the complexion of any team or even allow for some more skilled forwards over defensive bottom6 types. That's just a good goalie though. After seeing these two games, I think he's going to be better than good.

We don’t want to rush this and we need solid defense behind such a young goalie. If we push Levi into a 55+ starting position without an upgrade on defense, he will fail and we will ruin him

A little bit of post game whining.

Jost’s center ice face off penalty is unacceptable. That would earn the dog house by most other coaches but im sure Donnie told him it’s a learning experience.

Refs were pretty good but that interference call on Jost was weak. The salt in the wound was the refs turning a blind eye to 2 blatant slashes right at the scene of the crime. Should have been 4v4 hockey.

I’d like to see lines going foward

Skinner tage tuch
Jjp cozens Quinn
Mitts krebs greenway
Olo Jost KO

Find out if krebs is part of the top 9 or not. That 4th line just gets a few breather shifts (5v5) but is really just pp and pk specialist.

joker or bush

only need one of them on the rd playing 3rd pair minutes

get a #2 rd and a real #3 ld

secondary scoring dried up a bit, need another middle 6 player

realistic needs

The thing with those prospects is they all will help Defensively to, while the forwards are known for there offense, they all have solid 200ft games that should benefit Levi to.

Or Jost, Krebs, one of the kids in 4th, JJ drops to 3rd with With Mitts centering and we get a winger for Cozens. Probably more realistic if we are serious about playoffs

Yes he did, and I really am not trying to take away from that, he is gonna get hurt out there, he just can't move or get out of the way anymore.

Yes it does, and have a feeling if they both want to return, Granato and Adams will jump all over it.

Always had this fear that it would turn into a do nothing summer. Could even see VO back, if there's no interest.

Bad thing he had a chance to move VO at the TDL and he didn't. Injury to Tuch was a factor and Tuch returned early anyway.

Another prospect who doesn't get much attention but has really picked up his game is Kozak. He will never be a huge scorer but he could be a hard nosed 4th line C for you. He's another Dog on the puck.

We certainly have options to shuffle up the deck. The hills I’d die on are:
1. a separation of mitts and olofsson. Those guys together get scored on almost twice as much as the score. The way the both play should be a natural fit yet it’s just not at all.
2. Giving krebs the rest of the season as a tryout for our top 9. The sooner we find out the better.

That in reality is the top 9 already. The Krebs line gets 3rd line ice time, sometimes more.

But when the season was on the line, and they went to 3 lines, Krebs, Jost, and Greenway were the 3 taken out.

Can see relying on Vets, but ours aren't exactly known for their offense.
