I remember arguing with certain posters on here that it was a huge mistake getting rid of Sammy. He’s the type you win with in the playoffs.

They fixed the Bennett bone headed move by getting rid of Sutter !!! He’s killed more than a few great players most of which have proved him wrong in big ways

I would trade Zadorov in the draft for a young right-shot RD and mid-round pick. We have enough depth on the left side with Kylington, Solovyov and Poirier but nothing on the right side.

Based on Maloney's comments, there might not be many changes until next season. But we're not close to being a cup contender. I would trade Backlund during the draft for a young centre and 2nd or 3rd round pick.

Trading that first to Montreal for Monahans salary is looking like one of BT’s worst moves.

I really hope we get a GM that can make some moves like those.

Sutter came out and said he wanted Bennett, then shortly later Tre traded him for peanuts. You need to get over your blinded hate for Sutter. He may be an arrogant as$ sometimes but he won 2 cups in LA and should have had one in 04. Took a floundering Ward team to new heights and had them playing like champs til Markstrom fluffed against the Oil last year. Am I glad we’re heading in a new direction, yes, but Flames need to tear it down, sell, sell ,sell.

I’ve been watching the Wranglers this playoffs, there’s a few that might help but nobody should expect a superstar from there.

I’d keep Zadorov, scored 14 goals last year, not getting that from Kylington or any of the other left shot D. He’s big and mean something this team badly lacks.

Hopefully they get a new GM in place so he can hire his coach. Backlund a great asset to trade, I’d rather get picks than another center, both Ruzicka and Dube can play center and there’s probably a player on the Wranglers that can center a 4 th line. Dryden Hunt could be this years Walker Duehr.

He made a few bad moves, but lots of good ones. His hands were tied with the cap and Montreal bent him over much like how Lord Micro Penis gets bent over weekly.

If the Flames keep treading water they’ll never be in a position to take on those type of deals. 7 potential UFA’s they need to make some moves. Pick a lane and floor it.

It’s a real tough situation for whomever comes in next. Most of the team underachieved. I hope they trade high on a couple of the free agents. At least that tells me they know this team needs an infusion of youth, skill, and speed.

Been working on a bigger piece along the lines of this. Seems like the roster is loaded with quality contracts aside from two players and a goalie taking up 25 million and change next season.
