They played glorified pond hockey at 5v5 last year which although was highly entertaining, was never sustainable.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the first sentence, we were so used to coaches like Housley and Ralph that Donny was a big upgrade. Unfortunately upgrading from a piece of poop to some old gum still isn't enough.

If they run it back with minimal changes, you are 100% correct. And given the 13 years of history, I’ll say, no playoffs while a Pegula or Adams are president of this team… I can almost see the Adams promotion being the big offseason move.

I always figured coaches got confused when they had Ron Hainsey on their team.

I might be wrong about most people thinking that but, I called Meatball Kreuger-lite over the summer and people went wild in here.

- The players career years were all attributed to the Meatball.

- The only coaching changes wanted were the assistants.

- He was deemed the prospect whisperer and he was going to take the 5 1st rounders Adams drafted and turn them into superstars.

- The Meatball will help Levi become the first goalie from college ever to assume the starting goalie position in the history of the game.

- The Don was the reason for the way the team played last year

bring back the okposos, brysons, girgens, josts with the additions of stillmans and robinsons is not the moves to make us a cup contender but rather micro band aids to try to get us to the 8th spot

the team aspiration needs to be higher on paper, in the locker room, on ice and from the gm/coaches/owner(s)

He's been the better goalie since his most recent recall. He was ready the whole time, it's the defense that stunk. At Jan 1st we were 28th or lower in almost every defensive static that is tracked.

Doesn't help getting run into the ground, then not played, then sent down, then recalled, then sent down again. The three headed monster was a horrible idea, but the solution was always to waive Comrie IMO. He was the actually bad goaltender on the roster.

Couldn't disagree more but it is what it is. Sadly, if we would have kept him on the team, he wouldn't done better (like UPL) after we tightened the defense. Would've been cool to have a Vezina and Calder finalist tandem this year, but c'est la vie.

Right and that is just the tip of the iceberg. The Stillman trade for his buddy's kid is the one that sticks out to me as so inexcusable it's almost comedic. I mean, in what other sport can a GM give up actual assets for a player that won't play and is about to hit waivers anyways, because the GM knew his Dad? Not sure I've ever heard of that level of nepotism, coupled with idiocy, in professional sports. It's like the Bills paying picks to bring in Nate Hackett or something.

Players that can’t skate and are slow are useless in the nhl in 2024.

Watch teams like the canes. That is why the Sabres need to strive to be.

Fast skating and excellent puck moving.

Adams has done a nice job with his drafting. Most of the players you named are fillers waiting on kids to develop.

Rosen Biro rousek - clearly not ready. They hate Kulich Would you rather they suck in the nhl or have Jost, Okposo play and let them get lots of ice time in roch.

If you are watching the current Sabres teams. Lines 3 and 4 are getting their butts kicked. Imagine that but even worse with rookies.

This summer, I would hope he hunts for a 3C and get rid of fillers
