The special teams and goaltending disparity are obviously two major problems. Beating Shesterkin right now is a herculean task and while Andersen was fine this game, he doesn't steal anything from NYR like Shesterkin is doing. No excuse for CAR PP to be so undisciplined. I hope the great coach Brindamour actually proves himself capable of adjusting for improved team results. Because shot volume alone isn't winning this series. |

Anderson has played extremely well without him that game doesnt go into OT. The difference I see is that Carolinas offense is based on deflections and throwing everything at the net.Other than Aho and Guentzel they have no guys who can finish |

That's Brindamour's system. High shot volume especially from the dmen. They control play well, but if they lose in the 2nd round they should be looking at doing something differently. |

Fun game (obviously for us). Officials have been bad for both teams, is what it is. Rangers took advantage of the last break they gave.
Not sure why Hot Bod Rod decided to shorten the bench since their 4th line is capable of scoring.
The canes are very predictable, thus easier to defend as the games go on and the rangers have their number the last few years for the most part. Every game you know exactly what they’ll do and they don’t deviate from any game plan put forth so maybe Hot Bod Rod isn’t as great as he’s made out to be |

Aho not really a finisher. Had a few open looks and through it right into Shesterkin's middle. Looking very similar to last years sweep against Florida. |

He's 10th in the NHL in goals over the past 5 seasons. |

Stop me if you've heard this before, Brindamour coached Hurricanes heavily control play yet lose series. Deja Vu with CAR. Andersen/Kotchekov simply isn't playing close to Shesterkin right now. Special teams for CAR has been unforgivable. |

Tough one for them. I respect bingo so not trolling lol. The canes are VERY PREDICTIABLE as the years go on and to me that’s their problem. They don’t do anything different any game ever. They’re good but it gets to a point where it’s like practice for opponents and easier to defend. If the goalie can see the puck or not deflected he will save it. Granted, Shesty has been otherworldly this series which helps |

You're right. They talked about changing the way they had to play vs the Rangers compared to the Isles but the truth is they changed to something that the Rangers see all the time.
There's a reason that the only part that's working is when the skilled players break from what the system dictates. |
