I would be shocked if Laughton was not in a deal with OTT. Also, thought I read at deadline Flyers more interested in Chabot then Chychryn.

Could be a smaller deal. Laughton and one of the 2nds in ‘24 or ‘25 for Pinto. |

Norris for Couturier - furio16
Well shoulder is safer than back and he is younger.
That's a tough one to decide

There’s been so many names mentioned….”IF” a trade does happen…there’s a lot of different pieces that could be in the deal…could be huge exchange of assets…could be one for one. - landros 2
I could see a pick swap as part of the deal, but doubtful Flyers end up with #7 and #12.

Fine with the Flyers getting younger at center. Pinto and Sens currently at impasse on a new contract. |

Does TK alone get you 7? I don’t think so. We also don’t have a goalie. We have a bunch of maybes. - ClaudeFather
There's so many things that have to be fixed before worrying about the goaltenders...the position I was told is too unpredictable and a crapshoot.
Sign Hasek in his prime and maybe he saves a goal or two a game, but when you can't score and give up tons chances the goalie means nothing.

Well you nailed it, tanking one year is not the answer. You have to build the cupboard and the Flyers have ALWAYS been unwilling to do that. If the Flyers wanted to stay away from the "tank" then they have to be better drafters, especially later rounds where others always seem to find good ones.
Flyers are pretty good at drafting "safe" good NHL players, those teams don't win cups. - Glak18
That was the draft strategy under Hextall and we’re seeing the effects of that now. Even when you hit on those players you’re mostly getting a middle of the lineup player.
Fletch and Briere both said they need to start taking bigger swings. Picks like Gauthier, Michkov, and even Barkey were bigger swings. Hexy would have taken Ryan Leonard, who will likely be a very good player but he doesn’t have the ceiling of Michkov.
It really comes down to Briere, if Briere asks them to reco the highest ceiling players regardless of risk then they might find some stars. But if he asks for players who have the highest floor then little will change. |

Yep, could be why there more talk of the Atkinson buyout to make room for Pinto’s deal. |

I’m not worrying about goaltending. You’re taking a goalie on to make a trade work. Flyers should be playing the long game here. |

What's the long game for the Flyers, 30 years?

That’s what’s going on I bet. Pinto is on the outs and we need help at centre. Hes 23 so he’s a little bit old but he’ll have to do haha. |

But that’s not what you said. You said “we don’t have a goalie yet, just a bunch of maybes.” That means you’re intentionally acquiring him to be the goalie not just to make the salary work. |

Reports Flyers and Senators have frame work for a trade in place….may happen closer to the draft…..reported by Trevor Jost. - landros 2
For some reason I have a feeling Frost will be involved in that deal if it happens. |

I think he does. Also. Who is the sure fire stud we’ll pick at 7? It worries me because this isn’t a deep draft. |

LA looks like a much better destination for TK now. It worked for Carter and Richards eh eh eh...
No way they part with Clarke, but I could see a 1st and Turcotte. Not sure how I think of that, but maybe.

Could very well be. It sounds like db is going to be very active. This is why I’m all for giving him a shot to see how he builds the team before throwing him under the bus. |

The question is who are the top 7 players you want? You know Celebrini is going first so are there 6 players who you think are better or can help the team more than TK?

Hey if they could swap Cam for G I’d do it at this point. It at least gets us a center until we can develop someone.
I’d 100% rather trade 12th overall straight up for a young center with upside however. |
