Kane is a PP player and the Rangers do not need help in that area. He is not the type of player that gets the Rangers past Florida or other elite team.
I do not want Ehlers at all. - ses111
I really like Ehlers as a player, but the idea of giving him a lengthy extension is not something I want to see and we are really not in the market for high-priced rentals. |

Any wacky predictions for today?
Lou trades for McGroarty and an extended Ehlers for 20th overall, 54th overall, Iskhakov and Pulock? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - eichiefs9
Stamkos is likely outta Tampa 🤷🏻♂️ |

Seems that way for sure. Wouldn't be surprised if they got a deal done at the last minute though. |

Team USA first six players for 4 nations faceoffs
F Auston Matthews (Maple Leafs)
F Matthew Tkachuk (Panthers)
F Jack Eichel (Golden Knights)
D Adam Fox (Rangers)
D Quinn Hughes (Canucks)
D Charlie McAvoy (Bruins)
1/3 of the first 6 players selected for the 4 Nations are from Long Island. Pretty impressive. |

Hopefully the isles can get some better scouting as it’s in their own back yard.

From Stamkos’ agent Don Meehan, who tells me regarding his client:
“He will be a free agent on July 1.”
So would appear Stamkos is going to market Monday unless something changes in Tampa’s position. Will have more in a piece today in

Stamkos has the upper hand. The team said something like we want him and he wants to be here but they can’t agree on term. If Tampa can’t give him his number he’ll get it elsewhere. Guy still scores and prob has another 3 good years in him.
I pray he’s not a Ranger but it has all the signs.. |

Read Thompson and Theodore plus to Laffs for Marner. As a Laffs hater that would suck. |

Long island youth players have gotten a lot stronger over the years.

Happy Lou kept the pick albeit a year to late. Either there wasn’t a trade to be made or he finally realizes he doesn’t have a Stanley cup contending team. Hopefully it’s the latter.
I thought Lee was there so he could announce he was traded to another team. 😉 |

I agree. Cole or Michael would have been fine. Islanders could use a good LW. - ses111
It will be interesting today to see if Lou continues the path of restocking the prospect pool or if we see a move or two. I am leaning towards restocking the prospect pool.
Also, any thought of buying out or trading Lee was put to rest with him announcing the first overall pick.
