I sincerely wish the Flyers would follow this path. The Sharks now have three legit NHL center prospects to build around in Mack Celebrini, Will Smith and Filip Bystedt. This is how you produce success.

Grier turned over this roster pretty quick. Only 2 years left on Vlasic's deal and 3 on Couture. That's excellent work. Sharks should nab a probable NHL defender with that 14 and 33nd pick (Yakemchuk? Jiricek? Solberg?), and maybe he can package those picks and move up a bit.

This is an excellent move. The Goodrow one was bewildering. I don't understand how Walman requires a 2nd to take but Goodrow is willingly taken for nothing.

Wings fan....Walman is a serviceable dman, offensively can provide and when paired with a complimentary partner is above average in his zone.... you guys won this deal, but how could you not.... free pickup really..... future considerations in my experience amount to near nothing..... as I said, I'm a Wings fan and a big fan of Yzerman but this one is odd, as odd as retaining Lalonde as coach to start another season...
