All depends on what the return is. If you can get a younger player who is about to break out or has a higher ceiling, I'd seriously consider it.
How much work needs to be done on the roster in order for Calgary to truly be competitive or a contender?

« however Calgary isn’t in a full tear down. They’re trying to reset their roster »
That’s exactly what I didn’t wanna read. We’re really never gonna learn.
If we can get as much as a 2nd round pick we should be all over it. |
|

Flames should wait till 25-30 games into next season to make any decisions, give the young guys a true look before weaponizing that 30 mil in cap space / any true hockey mind knows next year for the flames is a write off, which is fine cause like I said it gives them an opportunity to truly evaluate top prospects at the NHL level. Also with what the young guys did last year I don’t believe they are that far off , 30 mil brings in 3-4 serious players. Go flames |

My bet is that’s just public negotiations. Have to wonder what the first few offers looked like. |

Absolutely it should be based on what is being offered. Personally if its treated like a cap dump for Calgary & we dont get anything back, then just keep him. We're already 6 mill under the cap floor. |

Trade his ass.
Don’t need bad attitudes around a rebuilding team. He has stated he has no interest in being part of a rebuild.
I believe him wanting out was the reason he played so well last year.
Flames need vets but they need vets willing to show up and work their ass off. Kadri does not fit that MO. |

It's laughable that Kadri told Conroy to spend some money since we have cap space to the media - from a guy who didn't show up to play the 1st year of his deal, who said he wanted to win.. should be easy for him to waive to a contender.
I wonder why Zadorov wore Kadri's number in VAN.. |

If he actually does like it here and wants to stay, it makes the most sense to keep him. You can't get rid of everyone. They need a strong veteran leadership core, and he thrived in that role last year. |

I'd keep him. Him, Zary and Pospisil all geld together into a great line. |

He played great! Pretty much best player on the team.
But I don’t think he wants to be here. Which means I don’t want him here. |

No. Trade him now. In 2-3 years we should be able to compete. And then he’ll be a total anchor. Think long term. |

Gonna have to dig into a season game or two. Mem Cup was a sh!t show. Wouldn't have been my pick, but Parekh is a pretty unique player from what I've caught. |

Seems high risk high reward. I kinda liked the guy that went right after him. |
