There were bits about Holl as a candidate for next year. Seems like they want to clear room for either upcoming deals or something else. I’ve got nothing direct on this one. Thank you as always brother

A buyout would also make sense if they feel one or more are ready to advance permanently to the Red Wings from the minors. This would help clear a spot and save money that would otherwise be wasted on a player not even suiting up.

Nothing new. We all know the goaltending and defense isnt good enough to make the playoffs which is disappointing. Yzerman seems to be waiting for prospects to come to the rescue.

Goalies would be ok if the Wings had a good defense in front of them. Yzerman didn't do the one thing he had to do if he hoped to make the playoffs and that's improve the defense by getting a solid top 4 RHD to play behind Seider. Now they have to hope a rookie like Edvinsson can carry whatever partner he gets stuck with on the 2nd pair just like Seider does with the top pair. God help Edvinsson if Fester decides Petry or Holl need to play with him.

I advocated that the Wings acquire this guy last summer. Love his game! Hard telling if he is worth this much and year 5 might be when he takes a nosedive. But conversely, he put up 68 pts in 76 games or .89 PPG without a very good supporting cast....many say. So how much better would he be with a #1 C ??????

Definitely not worth the deal especially at his age.

I like the player, but there’s a little bit of disbelief about these numbers.
