Not as much so as our defensive awareness.

Well, at least in a shootout he'd have more time to prepare than the defense gave him on those breakaways! Those were 2 horrid examples of spatial awareness. I only got to see the 1st period, so I'm assuming the 3rd goal wasn't as bad.

Edstrom looked pretty good again. I was hoping for a little more poise from Othmann.

Agreed, terrible management. I dont understand how Sweeney thought Swayman wouldnt ask for more when he has the leverage.

Probably/hopefully very instructive for Drury and co on how not to handle negotiations publicly and privately with Shesty

Huge difference since Shesty is UFA not RFA like Sway.

Personally I think Shesty is gone and Drury loses his job

Oh yeah, defense on those breakaways was horrendous. No matter what anyone thinks, I dont think any of these kids are ready to step in, Othmann and Mancini included. I dont see anything that makes it impossible not to make the club. If they do, I wouldnt expect much from them.

I agree. As much as I want to see it, I don't. We all know by now, some nice plays don't make up for not having NHL caliber play away from the puck.

It still amazes me that some fans see one good play, they want to trade players for nothing and insert a true unknown into a roster that is in a Cup window.

Irrational exuberance at its best.

The difference is Shesty has even more leverage than Swayman and Boston is still (frank)ing it up. Notes should be taken

And he’s signing here

He signs for over 12.5 and the room is going to get real stuffy from our window closing.

I think it will be a little less than that but how much $ did Florida have tied up in goalies?

Think he is more concerned with money than winning.

Honestly I also think he wants to see how the team is doing this season after the core once again disappointed in the playoffs when it mattered. If he knows he'll never win a cup here because the team can't help him it's either lots of money or bail for a real cup contender

Disagree. I think he knows he's a winner, so he wants the money.
Am I thrilled about his stance? No. But, I also don't think paying him means that we CANNOT win. It may make it harder, but so did Trouba's contract. And Panarin's, and Mika's, and Fox's. It's the nature of the business.

Brukie, with all due respect, whatever that amount might be 😉, I think we all know that by now.
Regardless of what anyone might think of our role as elite Cup contenders, we will be a perennial playoff team so long as this core is here. We can either female dog about the past, or be excited about the opportunities of the future. The fact that they haven't taken that final step does not mean they cannot or will not.
I think the chances that these guys evolve and figure out that last step are almost as great as the chances that they collapse.

I beg your pardon, but Im not female doging, just stating facts here although some dont want to admit it.

So you admit that you think they are less likely to figure it out.
