Montreal is already angry losing around 100 man games. The injury to Laine was by all accounts stupid and uncontrolled. But playing rough and stupid could also kill TOR’s season. They went after MTL’s highest paid player maybe payback would be going after TOR’ highest paid player.
If TOR fails to think this through they could win the game and lose the season.
agreed.......Domi took 2 runs at Hutson and nothing was done...its open season on MapleLeafs.......this is a direct result of the NHL not having a good system of referees.....they blew the calls in the last 2 games and created the space for the players wanting to police thei ce...unfortunate...you make a questionable hit you get a 5 min major and game misconduct. Simple. If theres an injury you get suspended for the percentage of games lost to the other teams player because of your illegal hit.

As a hab fan I think the Leafs are in a very bad place. I would think very carefully about hitting any Hab. There is a great deal of anger.
