Speaking of Draisaitl, after signing his massive 14 million dollar deal, #29 is proving he is worth every penny. Draisaitl is tied with Nylander, Caufield, Rantanen, and Reinhart for the league lead in goals with 12. While Draisaitl has always been a prolific powerplay producer, 10 of his 12 goals have come at even-strength and 16 of his 20 points. Draisaitl once again is showing he is far more than a McDavid beneficiary and deserves recognition for his hot start.

JLO would disagree

McDavid has 21 points in 15 games. The Flames top 2 scorers have 21 points combined in 36 games. McDavid is +3 in that time. the Flames top 2 scorers are even. Ha.

Sorry but the Oilers are supposed to be cup favourites. Flames scraping the bottom, hopefully they can get a 1st overall some day. Their top pick was a 4th oa.
No response on Holley Skinner? I see Edmonton management just can’t figure this out. Add more offence and ignore the crappy backend.

The Oilers were also favorites going into last year and finished 2 goals shy of winning it all after being in about 30th at this time last year. The season isn't a month long. Let's see where they are in June, not November.

I agree. If the Stanley cup was awarded in October the Flames would have many.

Sean can now safely say that Skinner has cost the Oil a game. Ugly one for him.

I think it might have something to do with his 1000 points status, but what do I know.

We got a chance to see our Oilers live last night but they were extremely flat. The ice condition may have actually had something to do with it...I don't think I have ever seen the ice at the Bell Center that bad, it was a puddle! Both my son and I have skated on that ice and it really isn't that bad. Last night it was perhaps the worst I've seen.
Best moments were watching McDavid, Hutson, and Caufield in the warmup, McDavids deke on Caufield, and Pickard's beauty save in the 2nd. The rest of the game was slow and messy.

Least impressive players were Josh Anderson, Kirby Dach, Jeff Skinner, and Evan Bouchard. Anderson and Dach look like they don't want to be there. Skinner is everywhere on the ice except where he should be. Bouchard was a mess. He bobbled the puck 90% of the time, such indecision, such lack of confidence. It really appeared to us that his teammates looked him off most of the time. They didn't want to give him the puck and Bouchard is never anyone's 1st option. Sorry guys but I'm right on Bouchard, he's one of the most overrated players in hockey.
Sucks to go see our Oilers once per year and it's a slow, scrappy, boring game...but still cool to see them. I hope they can turn this around.

Awesome stuff, great to go support your team. But no love for Draisaitl’s -3 or McDavid’s -2?

Did you get a Draisaitl autograph?
