Huberdeau has the ability to destroy a powerplay all on his own. Unless he starts shooting and stops passing cross ice through three defenders, this new powerplay is going to end up exactly like the old one. |

Crazy we have a better record, but last year at that time Lindholm was pouting, Zadorov was mad no one had offered him a new contract, Markstrom was finding his game, Tanev and Hanifin looked great.
Zary at center, I wonder why this took so long, he was awesome in junior and the Flames need centers. Would still like to see Huska put Zary between Coronato and Pospisil.
So it looks like the Flames will be in the playoff hunt, barely missing the dance. I hope Conroy sell's off assets regardless. It does this franchise absolutely no benefit finishing 12-17th from the bottom.
On Huberdeau, he’s leading the forwards in goals, he’s off to a much better start than ever and still people are mad. I’m more concerned with Kuzmenko’s 1 goal and Sharangovich 1 goal, Kadri’s +/-, that’s something to be pissed about. We’re stuck with Huberdeau, no one’s taking him off our hands, I like that Huska is using him in more situations.
Vladar is going to be a wanted man by the trade deadline, so many teams looking for insurance . We paid a 3rd for him, I can see Conroy doing better than that. With Cooley getting named player of the week in the A, that makes it an easy decision.
Go Flames! |

Most likely. It’s impressive how staunch the organization is about keeping him there. Had to be part of the extension. |

So happy for Wolfs 1st shutout but dam what happened to the offense that was running on all cylinders in the first 6 games and preseason? Loosen up and go have fun again. |

I think they were running on all cylinders while every other team was still using the choke to get the enguine started stared. |

Stankoven and Michkov may have something to say about that. Leaps and bounds ahead of the part time player. |

Is that the same Michkov that’s been benched the last couple games? This isn’t my assessment, just watched a video where they named Wolf the favourite.

The same Michkov that has 2g3a in the Flyers last 3 games. But is you saw someone say otherwise on the internet it must be true. |

Wreckage comes up with some good points, but he’s still an Oiler fan that likes to post his truths.
Love watching his cup favourite team stumble through the first part of the season while are bottom feeding Flames outpace them. - K-man25
Yeah its not like we are saying he's going to win for crying out loud its just his play is getting noticed & Ive read that on a few sites, one real good realistic one on Flames Nation. But when he calls Wolf a part-time player that tells me he's trolling. So are Shesterkin & Vasi part time players too because they dont play every game FFS.
With the cap potentially going up by 10% next year, you wonder, would a Kadri with 4 more years after this & Conroy retains 3.0 mill of his salary to Colorado & we possibly add one of our better blueline prospects like Poirier or Kuznetsov to get that Ritchie kid out of them. If we weaponize our cap space I'd rather do it that way than take on a real garbage ugly contract for a few sweeteners & then who do you sit to play that ugly contract? Possibly Kadri in that scenario with Buffalo. I just dont see how Conroy can acquire a young center via trade any other way. Even if we draft in the top 10 coming up, its going to take a while for that kid to forge a top 2 center spot |

I don't know how they are going to do it.
Patience is the name of the game. But, I feel like Edwards does not want to take on bad contracts or pay a player millions to play for someone else.
Montreal has been really smart in taking on bad contracts. Flames got absolutely schooled on that Monahan trade. It looks like its going to cost them for years. |

As much as we all like what Montreal has done they’re still a long ways from being competitive. I agree though Treliving screwed the Monahan trade, we’d be better off with 23 playing here. |

Conroy is trying to do the rebuild similar to Dallas. I get that, but it means he has to find diamonds in the rough. I think taking on and then trading Monahan got them 2 first-round picks.
Not sure what Kadri is worth or if there is a market for him. But if there is I say trade him.
I watched some of the Vegas game last night, Shwindt is looking like a decent pick up for them. |

Yeah they were probably paying back for picking off Pachal off of them. Pachal is looking like a keeper. Happens. Now the question is whether we give Kerins a chance. He's been on fire with the Wranglers.
Kadri at 4.0mill per definitely has value out there, just not sure how much. But I think we need to do something really really bold & creative in order to acquire a young 23 year center with top 2 potential. Colorado dont have a lot in the pipeline on D where they gave up Byram to get Middestadt who is doing real well as their #2 center & Mackinnon isnt going anywhere. So maybe we can pry that Ritchie out of the Avs if we add one of our better young D prospects in deal aw well. Morin & Mews are really tracking well. |
