The issue I’d have with that pairing is no one can get the puck out of the defensive end. The Oilers need someone who can make a breakout pass to play with Nurse.

Oilers don’t have 2 nickels to rub together in capspace. They have zero prospects that would interest any team, I’d say adding anything substantial is a pipe dream.

Oilers had a chance to upgrade their D and goalie in the off season but instead chose to add more old forwards.

Kevin (I know a thing or 2 about winning) Lowe must still have his finger in the pie. How else can you justify their off season moves.

Better hope McDavid doesn’t decide he’s had enough of Edmonton and play out his contract.
