Brink just gets overwhelmed against the more physical teams in the league, and Frost and Farabee need to be traded!! Start working the phones Danny Boy!! - Phillywhiteout
I wish they would just nail Farabee to the first line with coots and tk and give him time |

He may have had his best game tonight as he was all over the ice, but why doesn't he play like that more often? And then he ruins his night by taking an atrocious penalty at the worst possible time. |

Incidental contact in my opinion. Also the Flyers had the puck. Both players went down. How do they determine the interference is on Laughton? - MJL
That was brutal call….first of a few…both ways. |

That's what makes Tortorella an bumhole. There were mistakes all over the ice in the game. No need to undress a player like that. - MJL
This I agree with. |

Bit of an embellishment… should have n=been boarding if your going to call that, on Bennet initial hit. |

It's a brutal decision on his part. Yeah, heat of the battle and all that, but that is where you have to be disciplined. Farabee might as well shot the puck into his own net with the way that the Cats PP owned them tonight. Time, place and score. Farabee has to be more aware there. Of course, you can't give up 3 soft goals against the defending champs and expect to win, so there was plenty of blame to go around. I'm just growing tired of Frost and Farabee at this point. They are two enigmas that may be better off plying their wares elsewhere. Farabee hasn't scored in like 12 games and Frost just needs to move on(10 whole minutes of ice time tonight). He's just too passive in a sport that is meant to be played with aggression. |

Michkov just yanking Tippett out of his scoring slump. Fully expecting Torts to.break them up during the BOS game. |

I still think call as weak but I agree with your point on time and place. Shame last 5 minutes went that way…would have been pretty good two points after being down 3 to the defending champs. |

The refs did have a rough night and at that stage of the game it probably would have been sensible to either call both or neither. I guess Brink is Torts' new whipping boy. He doesn't even bother with Frost anymore. He just tells him to take a seat at the end of the bench and enjoy the rest of the game from there. Did he play in the 3rd period? If Ersson was truly ready to go (as was reported yesterday) then why wasn't he in net or at least the backup. I have no idea what Kolosov was doing on that 5th goal. Boucher always makes excuses for the goalies when they give up a goofy goal, but even he couldn't explain that. That being said, I think the pecking order is Ersson, Kolosov and the Fedotov. |

Yes. I don’t like to blame the refs but there were several bad calls going against the flyers at the end of the game. They should have called a boarding on Reinhardt then then cross check on bee. Even up. It didn’t help that our goaltending was shaky all night but we should have been able to lock that game down. Very bad not to even get a point there. |

Last night was what I call a good loss. Got the moral victory of fighting back from a 3-0 deficit. Got the refs to blame. A couple of favorite scapegoat players get to be called out. Best of all the loss, helps get a better draft pick potentially. All good. Checks the boxes. |

I agree. And it gives people the opportunity to complain about every aspect of the team. I’ll get it started….if only MM scored 6 points then we would have won.. what a bad pick anyway because his talents are wasted here. |

I'm going to go more realistic and blame the numerous defensive breakdowns. By Poehling, Seeler, a couple by Sanheim. I'll also blame the coaching. This coach continues to elevate the ice time of players like Poehling and Laughton, neither of whom are particularly good defensively. Rather if he wants to go into shut down mode not playing a player like Cates, who is infinitely better defensively more. This is something that Tortorella has done his entire coaching career. Put a level of trust in players that haven't earned it.

He thinks every loss is a good loss. Always on here bright and early after a loss, and then mysteriously disappears after they win a couple. Of course, he never disappears for long cause this place is his life.

So what goalie is sent down to the Phantoms. - WhiskeyMan Should be an easy decision if it was me. Fedotov needs to waive bye bye. Neither goalie played particularly well last night, but Fedotov just looks downright awkward at times and he is 28 years old. Kolosov is 22 with a higher upside IMO. Kolosov looks much more athletic, but he still has lots of work to do with positioning and not losing his net so much. I really don't understand starting Fedotov last night. |

F em EK. Jealousy can make people crazy - oyvay105
No one is jealous.....at all.
I keep forgetting the flyers exist.
But seriously, Konecny is a good player but simply not in the realm of the other team canada members. Why the hell is hagel in the team? No clue. Blame Jon cooper for that...same with Cirelli.
However, this isnt an Olympic style format, its pretty much one and done on NHL ice, so I guess they are trying to build a more NHL style team. Personally I would have liked to have seen Bedard in over all three of the above, as its a nothing tournament, it would have been nice to see Bedard play with actual talent.
