you are so clairvoyant. always predicting correctly. rarely ever off on a player assessment. spot on with how you call the games and how they are playing. - login
Is that all you got? Was I wrong? The context of the post was MJL asking me why I don't treat Tippet the same as Farabee and Frost. The answer is simple, because Tippet actually has talent and playing with Michkov will bring that talent out. So you can say what you want, but seriously, am I wrong? |

Smoke that Trouba may be on the move. Maybe the Rangers are looking to improve their culture. - Trox88
oh no if he is waived no one will ever want to play for the Rangers again or waive their NTC to go there. |

I didn't understand why York and Sanheim were paired on the PK, they were getting bullied out there by the Panthers. Would have liked to see Risto and Sanheim out there on the PK more often. - jd250
How did Ristolainen and Sanheim fare on the PK last night?

I'm going to go more realistic and blame the numerous defensive breakdowns. By Poehling, Seeler, a couple by Sanheim. I'll also blame the coaching. This coach continues to elevate the ice time of players like Poehling and Laughton, neither of whom are particularly good defensively. Rather if he wants to go into shut down mode not playing a player like Cates, who is infinitely better defensively more. This is something that Tortorella has done his entire coaching career. Put a level of trust in players that haven't earned it. - MJL
It seemed like Sanheim and York were getting eaten alive in their own zone early on

The Flyers as a team played a bad 3rd period IMO. After the Hathaway goal putting the Flyers up 5-4, Florida took over the game. The Flyers looked disjointed throughout the 3rd period. Florida's tying goal was a bad goal against by Kolosov, there is no way a professional goalie cannot pick up that puck. Farabee was up on his skates and checking forward, but once again his lack of skill stopped him from actually finishing a play. Witht that said, there is NO way a veteran like Farabee can take that penalty at that stage in the game. It was stupid. Did it cost the Flyers the game? Probably not. But given how well Florida's PP was converting, you had to know the game was over. - jd250
They didn't play poorly before that getting down 3-0? Standing up for teammates happens all the time. Your criticism is unjust there. It was bad officiating.

Incorrect. The context of the post was my statement that you replied to was "Farabee played a strong game last night" Your reasoning here is illogical. As if Farabee and Frost don't have talent. You also are not objective and your biases routinely cloud your judgement. Tippett has been awful for most of the season. Other than criticizing him for missing the net, you routinely give him a pass. Playing Tippett and Michkov together is very risky defensively.

A little bit early on. Sanheim made a couple of critical mistakes in the game. On one goal on a puck retrieval he reversed the puck right into a forecheck. It should've been a wheel play. Only thing i don't know is if teammates were telling him where to go. The other was on the PP goal against where he was flat footed and puck watched and might as well have had a chair and popcorn. If you want to be a #1 defenseman. Can't make plays like that.

Farabee had a solid game last night, right up to the point when he took that penalty. It's great to see him stick up for his teammate, but that wasn't the right time. I can't wait to have Ersson back in net. I was trying to keep an open mind about Fedotov, but he hasn't won me over. |

For me, the Rangers are THE rivalry, even over the Pens. Starting with the stupid smurfs to Richter, Leetch, Messier, Gretzky, Lundqvist thru the present- so many decades of rivalry.
I do hope this is the beginning of the end for this current Rangers run. The only person I liked was Sam Rosen- class act. Going to miss him- hope he enjoys his retirement.

Frost and Farabee do have talent. Dont knw what you are watching. Frosts issue is he cant do anything with that talent in games. Hes way too passive and makes some poor decisions. When Frost is with Michkov, Frost looks like the player we expect him to be.
Farabee has also struggled however the last week or so he has had some solid showings and looked dangerous. It may feel like hes been in the league forever but hes just 24 years old. He is still developing consistency. His ceiling should be a 60-70 point player

Rumoured teams are Detroit, Buffalo, Columbus and Ottawa |

Kolosov is younger and will improve. Fedotov is more limited to what he can improve on still

I am always happy when the Rangers struggle. They will have to add a good amount of assets to move Trouba. They are better off sending him to the minors.

I also prefer Kolosov but Fedetov is not waiver exempt. The safer play is to send Kolosov down.

Talk is potentially if Trouba blocks a trade the Rangers have set up. They can waive him and the team wanting to trade for him can claim him to get around the NTC

So the team getting him takes on his full salary? That is surprising to me.
If he gets moved it at least makes a Risto trade seem more possible in terms of money.

LeBrun is saying they have multiple deals basically done. Just need Trouba to approve one.
I am kind of stunned. He is not a good player.
