Desperation move by a coach that is close to getting fired. Or Trouba is being traded
- MJL

Apparently Rangers have 3 offers on the table. Trouba has protection and was given destinations last night with the threat of waivers today at 2 pm if he chooses to exercise his NTC… but he is done with the rangers.

LeBrun is saying they have multiple deals basically done. Just need Trouba to approve one.

I am kind of stunned. He is not a good player.

Let’s see what those or at least a trade looks like…maybe it would have sweeteners added to it ?

The Rangers will no doubt have to sweeten the pot. Unless the other GM's really value TOUGHNESS. If they get someone to take his full salary and no trash contract coming back I would assume that nets them a first round pick.

A little bit early on. Sanheim made a couple of critical mistakes in the game. On one goal on a puck retrieval he reversed the puck right into a forecheck. It should've been a wheel play. Only thing i don't know is if teammates were telling him where to go. The other was on the PP goal against where he was flat footed and puck watched and might as well have had a chair and popcorn. If you want to be a #1 defenseman. Can't make plays like that.
- MJL

do #1 defenseman make mistakes? or is That only for non #1 types?

they didn't have to sweeten the pot for goodrow. Maybe sharks pick him up as well.

straight up trade yes can't see anyone taking that on fully unless part of bigger deal with several moving parts.

Who’s worth more in a trade today….both player and remaining salary…

Risto or Trouba ?

If Rangers do get someone to take on full salary…is it a precursor to JT Miller be moved back to NYR?

So the team getting him takes on his full salary? That is surprising to me.

If he gets moved it at least makes a Risto trade seem more possible in terms of money.

- mickel25

If that happens, we don't know what might be going back to the Rangers. Or what else they give up to make it happen

It's not an all star game. You need to ice a team with players that can take on roles. It makes zero sense to add Bedard to a lower line. Brandon Hagel is an elite even strength point producer in this league. He can produce points without needing PP time. Cirelli is an elite defender who can also score at a high level plus they play together. There isn't going to be any practice. Instant chemistry can be important.
Konecny can put up points on his own and can play the PK. You're going to need players to take on roles.

- MJL

Connor Bedard has won faceoffs 36.4 percent of the time in his career.

And now there's talk about putting him on the wing. Because he loses the draw then spends his ice time chasing

But according to MJL faceoffs doesn't matter much

Reports out of Vancouver are denying that they are trading Miller.

my take is they are in no rush to bring him back. who comes out of the lineup? They also have to make a roster ove I think as well.

when he is ready send him on a conditioning assignment to LHV

Makes sense. They won’t make a move even a simple one unless push comes to shove.

Under the CBA they can not list injuries as season to season so this is what they have to do

The Rags were trying to trade Trouba during the off season, but he was using his NTC because his wife is finishing her residency at Lennox Hill hospital in NY. I believe she finishes this year, so I can see Trouba getting traded or waived.

I would do Risto for Trouba and some sort of pick. Shaves a year of term and you get a pick. You could also flip Trouba and retain 50% for another asset.

It appears that the Rags have tuned out Lavy. That dude sure seems to wear out his welcome in a hurry. They win the President's trophy last year, and now the train is quickly headed off the tracks and Lavy will fall with it.

Apparently no money retained either. Something else pretty big will happen soon I would assume.

Larry Brooks believes Rangers are trying to trade for Brady Tkachuk. If this happens, never would have thought the Sens trade Tkachuk before the Flyers trade Laughton. What a world

I can’t imagine what the haul would be… you never say never, but Ottawa apparently said…never.
