He’s the best in the game at the most important position. If anything I think he took a team friendly deal. It does seem that drury pissed off a few players in the room with the way he’s handled this.

Also, anyone see the comments from buffalos gm? Coming out to say that Buffalo isn’t a destination any players want to play in haha. Not incorrect but funny to hear the gm come out and say that. Way to sell the city and team. What a model franchise. I wish we followed their lead on rebuilding. Clearly works well haha

I read that statement from the GM and suggests to me the team is open for business to acquire players with term left on the contract. Briere needs to be on the phone and aim higher then acquiring Krebs.

Torts explained his anger with Brink. It was referring to the interference penalty on him. He got away with it once, and was warned by the bench to be careful and then he did the exact same thing the next time down the ice and got called. He felt that was the beginning of the team's implosion. Torts hates that crap! Attention to details. He said Farabee has to be smarter, but thinks he has been playing well (just can't shoot the puck into the Atlantic ocean from the beach). Ersson wasn't available...Torts effed that up. He and Mr. Softie (Drysdale) are still on IR, and now ND is apparently on IR. Not that anyone will miss him. Frost sucks!

Q: Speaking of Tortorella, he only has one more year left on his contract after this season. Have there been any conversations about what’s next and who’s next, maybe?

A: There hasn’t been a whole lot of thought put into it. We’re really happy with everything that our coaching staff has done with our group. We watch closely and we’re around all the time, as you know, and he’s done a great job for what we’re doing right now. I don’t foresee that changing in the future, but we haven’t had any discussions with him about where he’s at and what he’s thinking. I would be shocked if he’s thinking about retiring, so I see no indications of that
