"Mika is afraid to get hit" just as he is likewise to ever hit someone himself. This either for fear of simply his body breaking down to the point of not being able to last through a regular season, yet a postseason of any length; especially if physical in nature as many games were during last postseason. Or it could be for fear of being retaliated against in some greater payback.

His lack of hitting someone is depicted well in my prior comment, where I mentioned that during their current (2-8-0) slump, Zib has just 3 total hits credited to his record.

Their lack of effort and intensity is alone killing their chances this season. They need even more willing to go the extra stride like Lindgren physically, who also has 3 assists during this 10 game skid; which is 1/2 the points Zib has during it; but with his 1 Goal & 2 assists of 5 coming on the power play.

They need to fracture before they can come back together but at this point they’re all wallowing in their pity together and it gets them nowhere.

He’s young so I don’t expect it from him but I’d love Cuylle to start calling people out. He has every right to be pissed at his teammates because he brings it every night.

Been seeing this recently and it makes a lot of sense.

the main problems in the nyr roster are the same as it has been since covid. All the top guys are passive-producers. Swapping Strome for Trocheck helped, but that’s just one guy. There are no bullies, no one dragging the team into a simple forecheck Everyone has the same mentality under pressure: use their skill to score. It’s clear as day when the 4th line has been their most consistent all season! 93/10/20/72/23 - all of their “best” players play the same game. When it works they can score at will, the vibes carry the skill. But if anything mentality under pressure: use their skill to score.

Per the Rangers beginning their current extended slump in Calgary & Edmonton, resulting in Drury's FOR SALE memo circulated shortly later with Trouba being dealt, it felt like the Trade Deadline was just approaching. That prompted me to show up again due to a certain member here likely already posting his multi daily Rangers trade proposals.

But I haven't seen one relating to a return of Patrick Kane; at least not yet.
