Why exactly? Flames are looking for a high end centerman. That means they consider Cozens to be one so we should 100% be exploring this. Buffalo is not looking for a high end center. The proposed deal is Kuzemenko and prospect and a 1st. That isnt beyond PHI reach. If BUF is dumb enough to move Cozens, Im all in. They complain about how BUF is not a destination city so perhaps a guy like Tippett who is signed long term might be of interest to Buffalo as part of a package

Farabee and Laughton combined are over 8 million. it should be workable.

Don't see Buff having any interest in any flyers that the flyers would consider moving. not good trading partners to me.

Cap is fine. Laughton 3 mill + Farabee 5 mill for Cozens 7.1 mill. We save 900k with this deal.

Farabee and Laughton combined are over 8 million. it should be workable.

Don't see Buff having any interest in any flyers that the flyers would consider moving. not good trading partners to me.

Yeah, obviously it would need to work for both teams, my point was simply that the Flyers should 100% be calling to find out.

I dont agree. Adams is a bad GM and the fact that he would be moving Cozens shows how bad of a GM he is.

Flyers do have picks and prospects BUF would be interested in. I could see BUF wanting Farabee, harder to see Laughton as that is why they got Mcleod from EDM. Maybe hes just a good in the lockerrom throw in or for cap reasons. I imagine the 24 year old winger and the pick + prospect would be the main

I do not think Buff is interested in picks or prospects. They need to take forward steps.. They imo want to bring in proven players with a winning pedigree. Therefore to me not a good match.

He is a bad GM. That core needs a huge shake up or 2.

This math works yes, but I doubt they want Laughton and Farabee for Cozens. And they aren’t taking Risto, so outside of this there’s not a ton of options to make the money work here. Farabee and frost.

Frost doesnt need to be moved to Buffalo. He can be moved seperately.
Laughton could be moved seperately
Flyers can also waive Deslaurier when healthy for space or throw him on the LTIR until then.
They can get a bit of wiggle room demoting a goalie.

Im leaving out Risto because thats probably a harder deal to make when you need quick results

Never say never. There was a time people said Deslaurier would never sit and he has been despite his random injury from the pressbox lol

I will say never. I think he retires after the season and flyers hire him for something.
