I like the way they are playing just need a few guys to step up that are quite capable.
The obvious one Matthews getting healthy
Holmberg definitively sucks though
I don't think we are too far away from Tre adding a C. Before the pointless 4 team tournament for sure. - Santo_44

Yeah Jenner has always been the dream, I always think its unlikely because CBJ loves him but there is a chance since he has been away from the team for a significant amount of time this is the TDL that makes sense.
Proverov Jenner package would be awesome, would cost so much though. |

Leafs already have an injury prone center - drexel
Ah yeah that lame excuse
Same was said about Tanev and he has missed one game and has been awesome for them
He is "injury prone" because he plays a style that can result in injury which not so ironically is the style the leafs need from a C they get |

Mangiapane's opening goal is one Murray wants back, but it was also a busted break-out - blind pass into the middle-center of the ice that was begging for a turnover. You can't solely blame Murray for that. Having said that, he got a good look at it, so he shoulda had it.
Second goal was a laser one-timer after the Craps ragged the Leafs around in their own end. Murray shoulders even less blame for this one.
Dowd's goal that restored the Craps lead as a third or fourth chance after the Leafs were hemmed in again. Seeing a pattern here?
Wilson's dagger was a tip-in on the PP. Not much Murray can do there either.
Murray did (mostly), what you want a backup or 3rd goalie to do. He played well enough to give the team a chance to win. His .871% was not good enough, but you can't just scapegoat him in this case. - GalacticStone
3 of the 4 goals were not great IMHO. He has not been good enough and I feel for him working his way back but I don't care. Time to give Hildebeast a shot for a few games.

I agree, Murray was lousy. Leafs get a hard earned lead and he lets in two really soft goals. Leafs played afraid to let a shot on net after that. Hildeby has really been so-so in his Leaf starts. Leafs really missing Stolarz. Time for Woll to step it up and play the majority of the games.

Agree on Woll, as far as Murray goes, let him figure things out on the Marlies. The Zamboni driver would have stopped the goals in the first period last night.

I personally never thought that Tanev was in jury prone at all... Never once did I read of him being legally pulled from a game just to be forced to go to court with a panel of other jurors.

Let’s try to keep Woll alive until Stolarz is back - Canada Cup
https://www.quanthockey.c...eason-by-nhl-goalies.html
Cupsie - there have been 466 instances where a goalie has played 60 games or more in a single season in the NHL. Not sure why back to back games are handled like they currently are. To me, it is pure BS.
As far as protecting Woll, I do understand. Maybe a little more significant retaliation for running the goalies (since it is seldomly called) would help. I'm counting 13 more games between now and Jan 29th (which would be 6 weeks for Stolarz's return) with only one back to back in that span. |

And I used to walk 5 miles to school, uphill both ways. Goalies don’t play hurt as much these days. Some guys (Freddie) have less tolerance than others. The position is too important and there’s not an endless supply of replacements like there are for skaters.
Leafs have had 4 back-to-backs in the last 3 weeks and have had a pretty busy schedule. I’ll take a chance on a loss or two if it means we have both Woll and Stolarz ready to. |
