They need both d positions badly, not to wait on prospects.
- neem55

Hughes Hronek
Nothing Willander
Nothing Myers

LHD are cheaper to acquire and we have nothing on the left side. Soucy might have one year left but he is looking done

You go right ahead and slurp Myers in a 3rd pairing...

This whole Petey / Miller scenario is growing legs more and more every day. Why can't we just have nice things in the Canucks organization for multiple years in a row? We had it so good last year, it was so perfect, a great year to build on...and then 2024/25 happened.

I’m excited to watch Petey fall down tonight. I wonder if that’s why he has an ouchy on his knee all the time

Athletic article today by Drance and the Rangers' writer, discussing a potential JT Miller trade... they don't think it's likely, but this is the offer Drance put out

However, someone mentioned in another article that RHD might not be Van's biggest need at the moment with Hronek and Willander in the top 4 next year. Maybe having a better LHD is of more value going forward?

This was the Rangers' writer's offer, which I think is trash.

- NewYorkNuck

Would 100% make that 1st trade, but I don't think we'd get the pick or Othmann. More realistic would be just Chytil and Schneider. Canucks bargaining position so low on Miller & Hoglander with both well publicized issues or struggling.

Garland is my favourite player, I would not want to see him go. To get Laffy is tempting though.

And we don’t have to retain? What’s the catch? We don’t want Smith though you can keep him

No catch.

We need a 2C. Whether that's Petey or Aho moves down, doesn't really matter.

We have a lot of wing prospects but not a lot of C ones right now so we can trade one of Kotkaniemi or Drury without issue and so long as one of them goes we have the space.

I don't have a lot of faith in Necas keeping up his scoring pace, but he might be able to do it in a system he actually fits in as opposed to what Brind'amour has him do.

Oh and I just threw smith in because I figured you guys wanted some D depth but not futures.

If he gets three points while sliding on his ass all night and the Canucks win I'm ok with it.

I wish he was more Peter Forsberg and less Elias Pettersson.

This Willander kid is going to be a big help on defense for this team. Be nice to see him at seasons end.

In that last offer. Miller has more value than Laf and garland has more value than Mika. NYR would need to add KAM and at least a 2nd to that deal IMO

Wild to see the returns proposed for Miller. He's aparently having a 'down' year and is ppg. He's 11th in league scoring the last 6 years and is an absolute badass. Yeah a bit harsh at times but we could us more guys like that. If he's traded we need a decent haul forsure. Center and dman at the very least. He puts a cup contender over the top forsure

Hronek sent to Abby for conditioning. This means he is very close to returning to the Canucks line up.
