Great read Trevor!

I need to check out that documentary. Guys that climb like that is that they typically dont live that long enough to enjoy being the best.

Glad to see Huber finding his game.

On a less serious note, as Flames fans, how do we feel about Gretzky for PM? IMO Lanny would be a much better choice. Trump would cower in the presence of that Stash!

Thanks! It's good to have until Saturday so this can stay in front of game-day threads.

Stu Grimson is a lawyer! I'd go with the Grim Reaper with Georges also in his caucus representing Quebec. Kevin Westgarth, George Parros; any enforcer with a degree gets to be a Minister.

I though hockeybuzz was dead when the site went down for days or was it weeks?

Trevor needs to update or write more on his own website!
his last article was 6 months ago o.O

I found my content was getting worse on both outlets trying to get 2-4 pieces out a day. Tough work getting traction as one person serving as an entire outlet as well. By April, I was burnt out doing that on top of landscaping to keep the lights on.

Resolved that I would rather just work on getting better rather than grind myself down towing a line in the fog.

They like me at NHN though! The door is open to contribute. Got along well with everyone.

Also my Twitter has really taken off, which was a goal set for myself at the start of summer.

It’s worth a watch. But equating that documentary to the flames is a stretch imo.

I’ll always remember the amygdala highjack from Psych class.

Alex Honnold is a psychopath. He has no emotions.

Flames still suck! But not as much as the Coilers!!

Do you think they’ll trade Andersson while his moms here?

Not sure if Pagnotta was out to lunch. It’s weird when out-of-market insiders drop info like that.

Also, if the ask was just a first, a prospect and an additional asset, he wouldn’t still be on the Flames. There is zero chance that the price is that low given that the market is scarce, demand is high for a top-4 right shot defenceman, and he’s on for another season at 4.55M.

Ekholm got two firsts, Tyson Barrie and a fourth. That would probably be the starting point.

Jets are rumoured to be in the market for another right D, I’d take Yager or Lambert and a pick.

Thought this site was dead there for awhile lol.

Even though it makes sense from a rebuild point of view, I just dont see Conroy moving Andy at this point. Nature of these GM's. Hope Im wrong.

Was reading a Garrioch article saying the Sens would love to get out of that Norris cap hit. His numbers the last 13 games or so are pretty dreary but he does well in the faceoff circle, is 25, & we need both RHS & LHS centres.

Not many teams can take on that $7.95 mill cap hit. Wondering if Miromanov who is a RHD they are needing & has this year & next at a reasonably cheap $1.25mill per & the better of either our 2025 NJ 1st or Florida 1st. In all honesty, I dont see us keeping our 1st, Montreal are most likely getting it, Wolf is just amazing & winning games like the one last night. He definitely would fit in Conroys retool mind set.

Then if the Canadians are looking for someone's cap space can we give Hughes 1-403-CON-ROYS number. Perhaps the rights to our 1st back & Dvorak for a 50% Pelts & a 3rd? Habs gain 4.0 mill in cap space & Bob's you uncle I would then immediately waive Rooney who has done sweet F All the last while.

Yes to the Habs proposal big no to Norris. Wouldn’t give up a 1st to aquire a 8 mil contract at this point of a retool.

Yeah but thats kinda the issue. Norris is technically Ottawa's #1 C, top 6 for sure. He would definitely be an add to the roster for Conroy. The only other way to get a top 6 Centre we would be losing Andy. We are right in the wildcard hunt, Conroy aint going to move Andersson to get a Dach or Cozens that havent established themselves unless he's out of the playoffs. Our young RHS D are just not ready yet & Miromanov is still trying to figure things out. A Norris acquisition would be weaponizing our cap space more than anything.

He is not a very good centre, which is why he plays 3rd line on a not very good Ottawa team

Flames have enough 3rd line centers. They badly need a 1st line center.

Jesus do some research, go to something simple like the Dobber site & you can see the last 3 games he plays with Batherson & B Tkachuk. Yeah real nice 3rd line uhhuh.
He also plays top power play minutes as well.
Not hard to check these things out.
