Thats not at all what Danny is saying. He is saying he wont move Risto just to get rid of him. He's not just speaking to fans at these conferences but other GMs as well. Briere wants the best return possible, he is not going to let GMs think he is desperate to move guys. He is stating that Risto is not a rental so they do not have to take whatever the best offer is on the table. They can wait until they get the offer they want. Briere can still turn around and just take the best deal available but he doesnt want the other GMs to think he will do that so they up their offers. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
Cool how you can see through DB’s act, but other GMs can’t |

Don't you think other GM's know GM speak when they hear it?
though in this case I do not think they want to move Risto. Unless maybe they fall totally out of it. |

Cates on top of his game, defense, short-handed with a more steady offensive scoring game= Dave Poulin
If Forester could start trending offensively more like a Tim Kerr with better defensive skills.
Frost is a poorer version of Pelle Eklund
Just for fun???? |

Did you honestly just compare Foerster to Tim Kerr?? Are you high?
Is case you aren’t aware, Kerr is 11th all time for goals per game in NHL history (min 200 gp).

Feels like Danny and Jonsey are clapping each other on the back for figuring out arithmetic while the rest of the league is doing algebra. |

not sure how anyone listening to that can come away feeling confident about the flyers management team.
danny has the least amount of power out of all the 3 stooges imo. |

Maybe Frost compares to Patrick Sharp? A skilled player who the coach disliked and undervalued. |

Briere on whether Ristolainen could be a tough decision come the trade deadline: "I don't know yet. There's teams that have called to inquire. But Risto's been so good too for us. And he's not a rental. For us, there's no rush to trade him."

"I mean, we get excited about trading him & thinking about the kind of return we can get. But I'm not shopping him. I'm not trying to get rid of him. He's been a big asset for us, & it would be a big hole if we ever have to lose him. So I really don't know where it's going. - StepfordSam
What would you expect him to say? That he wants to trade certain players and name them? That would be totally foolish and would undermine any possible value he could get by trading them. And then many around here would criticize him for not playing the trading game correctly. |

All except for the multiple 30+ goal and 60+ scoring seasons. Otherwise a dead ringer.

After 5 seasons, partial and full, Both Sharp and Frost had a total of 39 goals. Sharp had played 196 games, and Frost had played 229.
Really not much of a difference in their careers to that point. This is Frost's 6 year. Sharpe score 36 in his 6 year, and second year in Chicago, when he started to play with Kane.
But up till now, their careers have been very similar...however..Frost is getting way more assists than Sharpe up to this point..Sharpe only had 34 assists, but Frost had 71.
Both struggled with their coaches at that point of their careers....very similar. |

I love this one. I think you’re very dead on with this. It’s a better comparison than mine. And for those who didn’t notice, I was comparing Michkov to Recchi…
I also really like the Foerster/Mellanby Comparisons better than mine. |

I forgot about Ryan. Yeah, that’s a better comp. Actually, I think Bob McGill is a good comp but don’t think he played for the Flyers. Huffman and Seeler have similarity in size and point production if you adjust for eras.
