I agree about his usage, but it's not hard to understand why he hasn't pulled out. (like TJ )

Edit: trivial sidenote - when I was confirming the above I noticed that Kreids currently has the same number of points and PIM's for his career (571). Kinda neat.

Right, which is what drove my comment that I hope his usage is limited, allowing him to heal a bit. He can play the PK and be net front on PP, the latter not being ideal for his back, especially as tourney gets more intense

I can't agree less. He's taking the spot of someone like Berard or Othmann while playing hurt, staying hurt longer, and being bad because of it

An injured kreider has 3 total assists and 10 even strength points in 45 games

Berard has 3 goals, 4 assists, for 7 even strength points in 19 games. Othmann is looking great. And that's just the offensive side of things. How limited is Kreider defensively?

If they do this again they should time it where it’s like the baseball World Cup thing, before the season starts (in spring training, ie-in training camp) . Middle of the season like this could effect way to many things. Teams can do without their stars for a couple of weeks in training camp and then they have time to heal up if anything happens.

He has 16 goals..... or do those somehow not count? He is on pace for 30 goals.... if either those guys score 30 in their career it will be a miracle. He is also a mainstay on a top 5 penalty kill, but yeah Im sure Berard and Othmann can take his place there.

Othmann is definitely heating up though, maybe after the break he gets another callup

don't see the sense of him coming up for tonight and tomorrow's Rangers games when the Pack also have games

My point is that Kreider should've been LTIR'd long long ago and maybe he'd be healthy by now? Maybe not? But surely it's not good for him or the team to keep playing in this condition.
