TBL has been our nemesis forever. Beating them brings great joy. That being said, the team's been out-performing and appears to be on some sort of 7-game bender. I wonder if the short break snaps the rhythym they've gotten into.
D and stellar 'tending are keys to this game: AlJo has to play like his hair's on fire, but more importantly; the Fs have GOT to get gritty - don't lose pucks on the boards, control the pace of the game, shut down passing lanes, bombard the TBL net, take away lines of sight. Above all else, knock the big guys off balance physically and mentally. TM has this team doing things that pundits never thought capable. Who knows what this team can do with the right guys in the right situations.
I'm amazed. Listen to the Chiklets guy, HNIC, Eliot, et. al., NO ONE predicted this. Being WC 1 is acceptable....grinding out a win vs TBL is prime beef. This game's going to be hard-fought so Mo, Eddy, Chiarot, Ras, n Elmer have GOT to be more physical WITHOUT taking silly pentalties....Special Teams may very well be the key to a W.....

I think you’re right. I had endless debates with a couple people on the side that I thought replacing the coach would at least redirect the room. After the Toronto loss when Todd had been here less than 24 hrs I got a note, “I guess no coaching bump”. After that it was 7 games of smiling but waiting. A 2nd 7 game streak was not in the cards. This is so far beyond what I was hoping for but the stretch is brutal. They have to be ready to go and play like you said, even then we know that TB can just turn it on and roll. Keep the shifts short, do everything you can to keep from being hemmed in and keep one or two players toward the back of the O zone ready for a stretch pass or intercept
