My grandson does theatre in addition to school chorus. Tonight is opening night for their production of the Broadway show Rent. Kinda heavy themes involved for youngsters and their first "serious" show that isn't silly or a comedy.

My grandson has one of the leads and a solo or two. So, I'll be very limited in my ability to catch the games or annoy people in here tonight.

Give the kids some credit. They can handle the themes in Rent. They all have cellphones and constant access to “themes” waaay beyond a broadway musical. It’s why I call a big fat bullpoop on all the parents who censor reading material in schools.

Got to sit in on recording and mixing because my buddy knew the band. Gave Barnes a ride to Ybor City and my car broke down and we both had to walk through a bad neighborhood to find a payphone. Crazy week or so that was.
