I'm a Computer Science student with a minor in Applied Mathematics. If all goes to plan, I will most likely be teaching Calculus I and II, Linear Algebra, and Discrete Mathematics.
I got A's in all of these classes and I really enjoy explaining things and helping others. However, I have never had any formal math teaching experience. I am confident in the subjects I will be teaching, but I would like to be prepared for what to expect from the students.
Does anyone have any tips or ideas for running a one-on-one tutoring session?

Knowing a subject well is only half the job. Some students grasp concepts quickly, while others need step-by-step instructions and real-life examples. To improve your knowledge, you should always start with what you already know with online maths tuition https://brighterly.com/ so you can focus on your weak points. Online tutors use visual tools such as graphs, charts, or even online whiteboards to help, especially for calculus and linear algebra.
