Nice road trip. Travel plus 3 games in 4 nights and weird start times. Wins in one of their league leading 16 back to back games this year.
Keep it going fellas.

Yup and a few more back-to-backs to boot.

I loved the Four Nations, but why can't they do it in September? It punishes teams with good players.

They'd still be able to play at camp and if they get hurt or something, it's still early, and could salvage the season still.

peaking too early again?

At the end of the day, it's all lipstick on a pig if they don't perform in the playoffs.

Are the Blues peaking too early? No. Because Toronto media.

Has Washington or Winnipeg peaked too early?

Maybe the Canucks just haven't peaked enough and are getting ready for their unprecedented run to the Cup WHEN they peak soon for the playoffs...but not TOO soon.

They just lost to San Jose a couple of games back so I would say no. I feel like this season as been pretty bi-polar for the Leafs. Just a couple of weeks back they looked poised to fall into a wild card spot. 3 points up on 2nd is nice but they have some big games coming up, especially the 2 against FLA.

Agreed on the playoffs. If they can't go on a run this year then I think it's time to blow it up a bit. Retool building around Matthews, Knies, Willy, the D and the goaltending.

It's what most were saying in early October, get into a solid playoffs position but it is ALL about how they do in the playoffs with this group. They are mature and have experience, growing pains should be behind them now.

I believe the thinking is that they can't possibly compete with the baseball pennant race, and NCAA and NFL football.

Yeah, forgot about that. Someday, maybe, we can do whatever we want and have the fan base to support it.

I think we should be grateful we got the split - I mean, our payroll is only $83M more than the Orioles' payroll.
