Well deserved. They need a new direction there, systemic issues exist from top to bottom, primarily in their inability to draft and subsequently develop young players.

Peter Laviolette

2006 - (52-22-8) - Won Stanley Cup with Carolina
2010 - (28-23-5) - Took over, Lost in Cup Finals with Philadelphia
2017 - (41-29-12) - Lost in Cup Finals again with Nashville
2024 - (55-23-4) - Lost in Conference finals to cup winners

7th most wins in league history. 3rd best winning% behind only Quenneville and Bowman. He should get work again unless he decides otherwise

He left Philly on a bad note and still I would love him with the teams youth. He was a great coach here

Laviollette didn't cause the disastrous locker room chemistry, Drury did.

Unfortunately for Laviollette, he couldn't right the ship after Trouba left. The damage was already done.

The Rangers really do need a new culture, but with Drury still in charge, it'll be the same old, same old.

Players who were Rangers last summer and witnessed the Trouba and Goodrow debacles unfold must have little respect for their GM. How can they trust him anymore.

Maybe Coach Quennville, or even Coach Messier, along with a few big trades can turn this team around.

Poor Laviollette Drury hired him, and then Drury got him fired.

How does Drury still have a job?
