Very good read. Just disagree with you near the end. I'm a deeply invested fan but I see it both ways. I've seen some of the best regular seasons and player performances I've ever seen as a Leaf fan. Guys setting franchise records left and right. Current longest streak of not missing the playoffs, when before this era we missed the playoffs what...10 - 12 years in a row. Getting excited over getting Phaneuf and if Kessel can score 40 one day...was horrid. These days 40 is common between Nylander Tavares Matthews. That's the regular season glory I've loved.

The playoffs misery, disappointment, heart break...has gutted me and just clouds all the good times. I no longer know what I want anymore. One minute I'm all retool an let Marner walk...next minute I'm all Biz Nasty in bring it back mode.

It all seems like a curse. Like whatever we decide to do with Marner and Tavares is going to just be the wrong decision. I mean is there more proof of a curse, a jinx if you will, than Florida getting Marchand , the Boston Leaf playoff killer, for less than we paid for Laughton?
