Pretty obvious Deboer's days were numbered after his comments about Oettinger after the series ended.

The way he threw the goalie under the bus it was gonna be either him or Jake and Jake had just signed an 8 year deal so....

I think he wanted out for some reason. That’s the only explanation for making statements about your goalie after the fact and stating that you haven’t even spoken to him.

Why do you think MG would bring Pete back when Warsofski has just won gold and was hired specifically to grow into his coaching role while the team grows into Contenders? I liked Pete when he was here, but the Sharks are on the launchpad right now, ready to take off, and Pete has been successful with teams closer to winning the Stanley Cup.

Pete DeBoer has seen his last coaching job for a while. He is in the same class as Gerald Gallant, and nobody will touch him either.
