Why does it become increasingly difficult to make new acquaintances as we age, especially if we do not fit into conventional social formats? Has anyone attempted to seek communication through unconventional methods, such as online? Did it work for you?

I caught myself thinking that the older you get, the harder it is to make new acquaintances - especially if you don't fit into the conventional "norms" of the majority. Parties, bars - all this has long been not my thing. I talked to a friend, and he advised me to just try meeting people online. I didn't really believe in such things, but on his advice I went to cupid.com gay site , and, unexpectedly, it turned out to be a pretty adequate place. For now I'm just chatting, but I already feel that this is a step in the right direction.
