Well, as always it only makes sense at the right price and term. He’s good for 2 maybe 3 years. Look at Brodie. At this age some guys last 4 or 5 more years, but very few. Guess we will see if he wants to come back “home” or cash in. Hopefully not both.

Players are commodities to be bought and sold, it's as simple as that. Fans get way too attached, which hinders their objectivity when it comes to player evaluation.

He was finished when he got to Toronto. They gave him a 3 year contract and he couldn't play well enough. They put him on long term IR and left him there until his contract expired. Others have joined him over the years. Hence Robidas Island, where players careers go to die, but you still get paid to keep your mouth shut. Joffrey Lupul was another that landed there long term, as did Jake Muzzin.
