First place, tied with the defending champions. I'll take it. Haters go fly a kite. |

gah. new blog
little tidbit on Seth Jones, from Dom
Through seven games the early returns are not great, with a team-worst 39 percent of expected goals while getting outscored 6-1. Even with Aaron Ekblad out, Jones’ minutes in Florida have actually been easier than they were in Chicago
so thats good..for non Panthers fans. bit surprised, as I thought he would be good...but still early
Flip side on Carlo. good to see, Rielly needs a steady partner
Carlo thriving in Toronto
Elsewhere in the Atlantic, Brandon Carlo has a 62 percent xG rate with the Leafs and more importantly, has been on for just 1.51 expected goals against per 60. While the rest of the team has struggled since the deadline, the Carlo-Morgan Rielly pair looks like an immediate revelation.
After struggling this year in Boston without Hampus Lindholm, Carlo looks like his vintage self. Though it sure helps that his workload has been lessened. With Toronto, the average Offensive Rating of his opponents has been 1.67, down from 1.95 with Boston. It’s a seemingly small drop, but it does make a difference. |

A nice win last night. It was great too see them win with defense first. Now, can they use this momentum to go on a run and put some distance on their division nemesis'. Florida is struggling with injuries and suspensions. Hopefully, this continues for a few games. It won't last forever. Tampa, on the other hand goes west for games against powerhouse teams. Big test in Dallas tonight for them. Big D sees an opportunity to get space between them and Colorado, after the Leafs gifted them a game in hand. Hopefully, the Rangers roll over and we can escape there with a win, then on to Nashville. |

I bought one a while ago, and a 1000 foot spool (longest allowed). Take it down to the beach sometimes. Fun as (frank). There's some guys I see at Marie Curtis sometimes with giant spools, working in teams. Some crazy ass kites out there dudes.

These forces are highly trained, but rarely see action. Some have accused them of being too gung ho when called into duty. And their crowd control tactics at the Simon and Garfunkel concert in 85 were much criticized. |

I'll tell ya, I get no respect. No Respect. Even as a kid. I asked my dad, Hey Dad, how do you fly a kite? He told me to jump off a cliff. |

I read yesterday that they were prepared to offer between $500-600M for 14-15 years. Not sure how I feel about paying an almost 40 year old $40M per, but you just hope he dominates for the first 10 years of that contract.
What an obscene amount of money. |

Also, didn't Vladdy say he wouldn't discuss a contract after the start of spring training? Was that just a bluff? |
